Fri Dec 13- Sun Dec 15: Nantucket Wrecks Christmas – Cod/SeaBass/Hake/Pollock

Captain JR reports a pretty good trip out to the wrecks onboard the Viking Starship. We had no problem hitting a few spots that had lots of big knot head sea bass, but the cod bite was a little off from what we usually see on these trips. However, we picked away all day and most guys had some cod to add to their nice catch of sea bass. We also landed some very nice pollock, some ling, and whiting to make it a real mixed bag. At the end of the day it all added up to a good trip.

The winner of the Cod pool went to Gary Grothman from Kings Park, NY with a 16 lb fish. The Black SeaBass pool winner went to Michael Bunch from Flandres, NY with a 6.3 lb fish. Our edible pool winner went to Dongyu from Queens, NY with a 14.6 lb Pollack.

Captain Steven Jr. has added three “1 Day Tile and Deep Water Wreck Trips” on the Viking Starship for January.
