Mon June 9 to Fri June 13 – Captain’s Choice ULTRA ULTRA LTD

Capt Steven Sr. reports a great offshore trip on the Viking Starship. The morning of departure the weather looked un-fishable to our usual eastern grounds. We decided to make a right at the lighthouse to check out the southern canyons that we haven’t visited in a number of years. We were rewarded with very generous fishing. Day 1 started out slow. We picked away at Tiles up to 50 lbs, Hake and Rosies in the east wind with fog and rain. Day 2 we woke up to beautiful clear sky’s and sunshine. It was a phenomenal day with Golden Tiles up to 48 lbs, Rosies, Blue Line Tile, one Barrel fish and one 45 lb Bluefin Tuna. It was a great day! Day 3 started slow with a handful here and there, so we wondered around. We found a new spot that rewarded us with a boat limit of Blue Line Tilefish. It was absolutely great fishing. All in all an excellent trip.
