Mon June 23 to Thurs June 26 – Captain’s Choice TNT ULTRA ULTRA LTD

Capt Steven Sr. reports absolutely Epic, Phenomenal, Amazing fishing on the Viking Starship. Our first drop of the trip was for Tile and it was slow with the though conditions, by 1PM things changed for the better. We came across a pile of Barrelfish with Tile mixed in. The Barrel fishing was like Porgy fishing! Really Good!! We moved around and got on the edge of big Tile and Barrel and we stayed with the Tile for the rest of the afternoon where we found all we need with Tile up to 40 lbs and Barrel up to 25 lbs. It was a great first day! We moved that night and started on some new Tile grounds. We had good fishing with smalls, mediums and larges. We then went trolling working our way towards home finding two keeper Bluefin at 60lbs each. After that we stopped at one more spot looking for XXL Tiles. We continued west trolling and caught a bunch of Bluefin that were released. We layed up for the night and got on the troll the first thing. It was a beautiful sunrise (picture included!). We released a few small Bluefins and had one 25 lb Yellowfin caught by Mike McGregor. This is our last spring offshore trip on the Viking Starship with one private charter to go. The Viking Fivestar has a few spots available in July, August, September and October on their Tuna & Tile trips. The Viking Star Tuna & Tile and 60 Hour Tuna & Mahi Trips will begin on September 1.
