Sat July 5 – Full Day Jumbo Fluke & Knothead Sea Bass

Captain JR reports a tough day onboard the Viking Starlite. We started out our first Block Island full day trip by scouting lots of areas that have been very good to us in the past. Some had a few decent sea bass but lots of short fluke. We did find a fairly productive area to finish off the day with most guys getting a limit of knot head sea bass and we found a few larger fluke to liven things up. Still lots of potential awaiting us at mighty Block Island. The Fluke pool winner was Ron Ocean, from East Hampton, NY with a 3 lb Fluke. The Seabass pool winner was Rob Huebner from Monte, CT, with a 3.5 lb Seabass.
