Wed Aug 27 – Full Day Block Island Jumbo Fluke & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt JR reports a slow start to our day onboard the Viking Starlite. We found loads of small Sea Bass at our usual fishing grounds with just a couple short Fluke mixed in. We took a long ride and explored some of the farther reaches of the Block Island waters. It ended up being ok as we basically found some fall-like fishing with lots of different species. Some nicer sized Sea Bass, big Porgies, some small Bluefish, a few Fluke, and a couple green Bonito kept us busy for the latter part of trip. Some guys ended up having a pretty good day and everyone definitely got some delicious fish for dinner. The pool winner was Rui Wu from Brooklyn, NY with a 4 lb Sea Bass.
