Thurs Sept 11 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports excellent fishing on the Viking Starship. We had perfect conditions by Block Island and spent 2 1/2 hours anchored and found great Porgy fishing. We headed offshore for Sea Bass and had to make a few moves, but found them. There were big Sea Bass, some Porgies, Fluke, Flounder, Bonita, about a dozen really nice Triggerfish and some throwback Cod. The first place pool winner was Pete L. from Bronx, NY with a 3 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Anthony C. from Queens, NY with a 5.3 lb Bonita.
