Sat Oct 25 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports a decent trip on the Viking Starship. We tried up close to Block Island to start the day, which we have not done in awhile. Unfortunately it didn’t pay off. We found a mixed pick of small Porgies and Sea Bass. Since it wasn’t working out we headed offshore to have a look around. At the first few drops there was mostly smaller stuff, so we headed deeper. This made the day with quality Sea Bass and Porgies. The first place pool winner was Mahendra Nambumer from Queens, NY with a 2.8 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Luis Chavez with a 3.6 lb Sea Bass.
