Thurs Nov 20 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports a very good day of fishing on the Viking Starship. We went back to the hot spot from yesterday and had much better Porgy fishing than we have been seeing. It was a slow steady pick of Porgies and Sea Bass and we spent most of the morning on one drop. We also tried a spot to the east and had really big Sea Bass with a couple of Porgies mixed in. There were also a couple of Bonita and some throwback Cod. First place pool winner was Juan N from Freeport, NY with a 3.7 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Abe from the Bronx, NY with a 4.1 Bonita.
