Sat Oct 31 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports good fishing on the Viking Starship. We stayed offshore due to the conditions and had a slow steady pick. There were a lot of nice Sea Bass up to 5 lbs. The Porgies were all big, but not as many as yesterday. One spot in the deep was really good, but the dogfish came in and took over. Overall is was a good mixed bag day. There were also a bunch of Cod all returned unharmed! The first place pool winner was David Alridge from Brooklyn, NY with a 3 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Ryan Piper from Huntington, NY with a 4 lb Sea Bass.
