Capt Carl reports another GREAT night of fishing for Striped Bass under the Full August Moon aboard the Viking Starship! We caught Striped Bass of all sizes, with the majority of them falling into the slot size so lots of keepers on the boat for the night! We of course saw some bruisers as well…

Capt. JR reports that we had a decent trip this morning on the Viking Star. Some rain didn’t stop the big porgies and sea bass from biting all trip. A few fluke in the mix as well. Fish dinner for all.  Today’s pool winner was PJ Vaz of Wantagh NY with a 3lb Porgy.

Capt Dave reports a good day of fishing on the Viking Starship. We started out fishing down the beach for Porgies because there was a strong moon tide. It was excellent with everyone catching a good amount. We went south and anchored for Sea Bass, but there were not a lot of keepers. There were some keeper Fluke there. On the way in we hit the lighthouse for some more Porgies. The pool winner was Dizz Costa from Hempstead, NY with a 2 1/2 lb Porgy.

Today’s first place pool winner was ten year old Regan Bossert of Wading River, NY who caught a 6 lb Fluke….

Capt JR reports a tough trip on the Viking Star. This afternoon brought even more wind. We stuck it out and picked some Sea Bass and Porgies with a few Fluke. Tomorrow, the wind will stop.
