Wed Aug 10 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass

Capt Dave reports a good day of fishing on the Viking Starship. We started out fishing down the beach for Porgies because there was a strong moon tide. It was excellent with everyone catching a good amount. We went south and anchored for Sea Bass, but there were not a lot of keepers. There were some keeper Fluke there. On the way in we hit the lighthouse for some more Porgies. The pool winner was Dizz Costa from Hempstead, NY with a 2 1/2 lb Porgy.

Wed Aug 10 – 1/2 Day Fishing AM

Capt JR reports that fishing on the Viking Star was a little picky this morning. When the tide changed and conditions got favorable, we found some nice Sea Bass, Porgies, and some stud Fluke! Today’s first place pool winner was ten year old Regan Bossert of Wading River, NY who caught a 6 lb Fluke….

Capt JR reports a tough trip on the Viking Star. This afternoon brought even more wind. We stuck it out and picked some Sea Bass and Porgies with a few Fluke. Tomorrow, the wind will stop.
