Fri Aug 12 – 1/2 Day Fishing AM

Capt JR reports this morning’s trip on the Viking Star brought heavy full moon tides that made conditions difficult in the more productive fishing areas. As the tide eased off we were able to capture some nice keeper Fluke, Sea Bass, jumbo Porgies, and a very large Striped Bass. Unfortunately the Striper was outside of the NYS slot limit and had to be released. The pool winner was Jack Curcio from Babylon, NY with a 3.8 lb Fluke.
