Sun Aug 4 – Montauk Jumbo Lighthouse Porgies and Knothead Sea Bass
Captain Dave reports near perfect conditions drifting near the Montauk Lighthouse today on the Viking Starship. Most of our anglers got their limit of Porgies in just a couple of hours. The drift was a little fast out East, but anglers managed to make the most of it, bringing aboard a variety of fish including a keeper Striped Bass. First place in the Porgy pool went to Jose Hernandez of NY, NY with a 2.60 pound Scup and 1st place in the edible pool went to Ed Jordan of Freeport, NY with a 14.7 pound Striped Bass.
