Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass Capt Dave reports reports really good fishing on the Viking Starship. We had A Lot of SeaBass up to 6 lbs. Our first two drops were loaded and on our third drop we went looking for Porgies where we found a good pick of mixed size fish. We also had a couple of Cod and Bluefish. There was no pool onboard today.

Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass Capt Dave reports a steady pick on the Viking Starship. We had smaller fish today, but plenty of keepers. There were good sized ones in the mix. We also had some Cod and Pollock. The largest Cod was 17 lbs. The pool winner was Barry Austin from Deer Park, NY with a 2 3/4 lb Porgy.

Montauk Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass Capt Dave reports a good pick today on the Viking Starship. We had fish biting all afternoon. We ended up with a nice catch of Porgies, Cod and plenty of nice quality Sea Bass. The pool winner was Frank Richino from NY, NY with a 3lb Porgy.

1/2 Day Fishing AM Trip – Capt Jerry reports a slow morning on the Viking Star. PM Trip – Capt Jerry reports a much improved afternoon on the Viking Star. We had big SeaBass and a lot of Porgies. The pool winner was Allison Turcan from North Salem, NY with a 4 1/2 lb SeaBass. Sunday will be our last day of 1/2 Day Fishing for the year.  Trips will go out at 8am & 1PM.

Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass Capt Dave reports a tough day on the Viking Starship. We had very rough conditions with an unfavorable current, so it was a slow pick. We tried 3 different drops, but it was a tough go. The first place pool winner was Michael Bolton from Brentwood, NY with a 3.2 lb Porgy, The edible pool winner was Ivan Felix with a 10 lb Pollock. This trip is CANCELLED for tomorrow, Sunday Oct 21st.

Viking Fivestar With our Tuna season behind us we hauled out for Coast Guard inspection and a quick clean up. We are ready for our fall Block Island Cod and Seabass trips! Trips will start sailing this Monday (Sold Out!) and we have added Tuesday 10/23 and Thursday 10/25 to the schedule this week! Looks like we are going to have a nice break in the weather and we are looking forward to getting our fall season started! Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass Capt Dave reports good fishing on the Viking Starship. We started out in the deeper water where we ran into some dogfish in the area, but we did have some beautiful SeaBass. We made a move inshore in shallower water to get away from the dogs and we had a good mix of Porgies & SeaBass. The first place pool winner was Pete Seabrooke from Kings Park, NY with a 3 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Jose Veintimilla from Selden, NY with a 6 lb SeaBass.

Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Seabass Capt Dave reports excellent fishing on the Viking Starship. We had a nice mix of Porgies & SeaBass and the bite was really good. We had mostly big fish with SeaBass between 3-4 lbs, with everyone retaining their limit. We also had 1 Cod and a couple of Bluefish. The pool winner was Delray Brown from Queens with a 3 lb Porgy. We are cancelled for tomorrow’s trip.
