Montauk Jumbo Lighthouse Porgies & Knothead Seabass Captain Dave reports a great day of fishing aboard the Viking Starship, we had all the porgies you could want! We caught our limit of porgies and seabass. We did a quick drift by the lighthouse and got some nice porgies there before we went looking offshore and found a nice mix of keepers. We had some seabass up to 5lbs and some mixed size porgies and even one striped bass.

1/2 Day Fishing AM Captain Joe reports a decent day of fishing aboard the Viking Star this morning. We had some really nice seabass and some fluke and porgies in the mix too. The pool winner was Ed Kunz from Bayshore NY with a 3.5lb fluke.
Wed July 4
1/2 Day Fishing – PM Capt Joe reports great fishing this afternoon on the Viking Star. There was a lot of action with good size Fluke, SeaBass and Porgies. The pool winner was Brian Fischman from New York, NY with a 6.75 lb Fluke.

1/2 Day Fishing – AM Capt Dave G reports a good morning of fishing aboard the Viking Star. We fished through slack tide in foggy conditions for most of the morning and caught lots of Porgies along with short Fluke and Seabass, all of which were thrown back unharmed. We also caught a nice big Blackfish which was also thrown back unharmed. All in all it was a nice morning and everyone went home with a bag of filets. The pool winner was Chris Zografos from Plainview, NY.
