Montauk Jumbo Lighthouse Porgies & Knothead Seabass Captain Dave reports a decent day of fishing aboard the Viking Star. The wind and tides meant that fishing started off slow out by the lighthouse but after we moved offshore and dropped in deeper water there was a steady pick of mixed sized porgies and seabass. Everybody reached their limits of both! There was no pool today.

1/2 Day Fishing PM Captain Dave reports an excellent day of fishing aboard the Viking Star. There was good fluking with lots of keepers and some nice porgies and seabass too. There was lots of throwback action too. Today’s pool winner was Johnathon Gomez from Hampton Bays NY a 6.5lb fluke and second place went to Russ Lake also from Hampton Bays with a 5lb fluke.

1/2 Day Fishing Capt Dave reports an okay day of fishing on the Viking Star. We had a bunch of kids on board today, so we went to the nice calm water south of the point and had good action with a whole mess of Porgies. When the flood tide came in we got some fluke fishing in where it was a bit slow, but we managed some keepers and about a 1/2 dozen throwbacks. The pool winner was Adam Green with a 3 lb Fluke.
