Night Striped Bass We had 2 Striped Bass boats sail tonight and Capt Carl reports that both boats struck out. We were stuck with the outgoing ebb tide all night against the wind which has been a struggle for us all season long. There are still plenty of fish around, but they just have not been eating for us on the outgoing ebb tide. Next Friday night and Saturday nights trip will both have the very productive incoming flood tide and we are looking forward to being out there!

Sat Oct 14

1/2 Day Mixed Bag-PM Capt Jerry reports good fishing on the Viking Star this afternoon. We had a lot of action with some nice big sea bass and some porgies that were on the smaller side. The pool winner was Gregor Mechaber from NYC with a 2.5 lb Sea Bass.

Full Day Montauk Local Jumbo Porgies and Knothead Sea Bass Capt Dave reports really great fishing on the Viking Starship. We had perfect conditions and stayed in one area where we had a nice slow drift that produced tons of mixed size Porgies. We also had a handful of Sea Bass and there were some Trigger fish as well. The first place pool winner was Alex Rojas from Bronx, NY with a 2 3/4 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Ramosa from Brooklyn, NY with a 3 1/2 lb Sea Bass.

Fri Oct 13

Night Bass Capt Carl reports that although we had very unfavorable conditions with a weak outgoing tide against a strong southeast wind, we did manage to land a couple of nice sized Striped Bass. We did mark tons of fish all night, but conditions made for just a couple bites. Marco Calise from Mattituck, NY took the pool with a 24.9 pound Striped Bass. Hopefully Saturday nights trip is better with less wind forecasted!
