Night Striped Bass Capt carl reports tough Bass fishing tonight. Strong south wind against the outgoing tide made conditions tough. It also seems that the migration may have started, but we will be sailing for the full moon trip next weekend on Friday and Saturday nights and that will surely tell the tale! Conditions will be right, so if the Bass are still here by then, we will catch them! Bill Nowak from East Moriches was the lucky pool winner with a 22 pound Striped Bass.

Sat Oct 28 – Viking Starship

Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass – Viking Starship Capt Dave reports decent Porgy fishing on the Viking Starship. It was a good morning with a lot of jumbo porgy action and some small SeaBass mixed in. We went offshore to look for the bigger SeaBass where we found some nice ones and everyone had a few. We also had 6 Cod and a couple of Trigger fish mixed in. The first place pool winner was Rolando Correra from Manhattan with a 4.6 lb Porgy. The second place pool winner was Balkis Morel with an 18 lb Cod.

Sat Oct 28-Viking Superstar

Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass – Viking Superstar Capt Carl reports a decent day of porgy fishing on the Viking Superstar. We picked away at a mix size of fish with plenty of jumbos. SeaBass was slower today because of some dogfish around. The pool winner was the Rodea’s family from Brooklyn, NY with a 4.5 lb Porgy.

Fri Oct 27

Block Island Jumbo Porgies and Knothead Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a good day of fishing today aboard the Viking Starship. It was a bit windy when we got out there this morning, but once it died down, the fishing came on steady. We moved around a bit to find some bigger fish, but today was mostly smaller fish than we have been seeing. Still some nice quality meat coming over the rails. Everyone pretty much had their limit of porgies and close to their limit of nice sea bass. We also had about 15 keeper cod up to 17lbs. Today’s pool winner was Hung Lee with a nice JUMBO 4.5lb porgy.

Block Island Jumbo Porgies and Knothead SeaBass Capt Dave reports a decent fishing today on the Viking Starship. The conditions were a bit tough today, but we managed to put a nice catch together with plenty of Porgies, nice Sea Bass and a couple of Cod. The pool winner was Sunders Leacock from Brooklyn, NY with a 3.3 lb Porgy.

Block Island Cod & Sea Bass Charter – Viking Fivestar Capt Steven Jr reports good fishing despite the rough conditions. We had a handful of nice Sea Bass and a lot of Cod. Schedule Update

We have added a Veteran’s Day Rusty Belly Blackfish/SeaBass Special on Friday November, 10th. Departing at 3am and returning at 6pm. Limited to 40 anglers! Fishing equipment is available for rent on the boat. Tackle is available for purchase. Bait is included-Crabs & Clam. Reservations are strongly recommended!

Block Island Jumbo Porgies and Knothead Sea Bass Captain Dave reports another fantastic day of fishing aboard the Viking Starship. It was excellent fishing right away first thing in the morning with nice big fish coming over the rails. We moved around a bit and found a nice pile of a nice mix of both porgies and JUMBO sea bass. We also had about a dozen keeper cod. Today’s first place pool winner was Ifa Gordon from the Bronx with a nice 3.8lb porgy and in second place was James Hom of Manhattan with an 11lb cod.
