Night Bass Capt Carl reports a non existent bite on the Bass boat tonight. We tried many spots, marked fish, but could not get a bite on the eels. It was a very long night.

1/2 Day – PM Capt Dave G Reports a very good afternoon of fishing aboard the Viking Star. We had some nice size keeper fluke, nice sea bass and a good shot of porgies to round out the afternoon. The pool winner was Nancy Ann Cote from Clifton, NJ with a 6.75 lb Fluke.

Montauk Jumbo Summer Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a good steady day of fishing aboard the Viking Starship. Porgy fishing was decent in the morning and then we went looking for sea bass. We had to pick through a lot of smaller fish with the sea bass but we found some bigger fish too and everyone hit their limits. Mitch Lee from Queens NY took the pool with a 3lb scup.

Wed July 26
1/2 Day – PM Capt Joey D reports a great afternoon on the water. The boat limited out on Sea Bass which made for a lot of action. There were also a bunch of mackerel caught today. All in all a beautiful day on the water. The pool winner was Kyle Kane from Goshen, NY with a 4lb Fluke.

Montauk Jumbo Lighthouse Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass Capt Dave reports a slow start this morning on the Viking Starship, but it ended up Great! We started out looking around for some porgies. Once we located a good spot we anchored up where were rewarded with nice big porgies. After we loaded up we moved on east where we found a new deep spot with mixed size porgies and nice sea bass. The first place pool winner was Jeff Greenbaum from Yonkers, NY with a 3 lb porgy. The edible pool winner was David Rice from Hempstead, NY with a 4.5 lb sea bass.

1/2 Day – AM Capt Joey D reports good fishing this morning on the Viking Star. It was a beautiful morning with light winds. We had a lot of action with Fluke, Sea Bass and Scup. The pool winner was Tom Nastro from Wantaugh, NY with an 8 lb fluke.

Half Day – PM Captain Aaron reports alright fishing aboard the Viking Stariper. Fishing was better than this morning as we hid from the wind but there was still a slow pick. Greg Schoen from Yorktown NY took the pool with a 6.2lb Fluke!
Tues July 25
Montauk Jumbo Porgies and Knothead Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a good day of fishing aboard the Viking Starship. We started out with a nice first drop in the morning producing some really nice big porgies. We worked our way east and had a nice pick of both mixed size porgies and sea bass. Today’s pool winner was George Glass of Los Angeles, CA with a nice 3.25lb porgy.
