Half Day Fishing AM Captain Joey D reports a good day of fishing this morning aboard the Viking Star. It started out slow but improved as the morning went on. We had fluke, sea bass and porgies. Today’s first place pool winner was Terri Coleman of Holbrook with a 5.15lb fluke and in second place was Christine Dassler of Bohemia with a 4.75lb fluke.

Montauk Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a good day of fishing aboard the Viking Starship. Conditions were tough early on in the morning but fishing was still ok. We got enough porgies that we were ready to move and start looking for sea bass. We went off shore and we got a nice mix of porgies and sea bass. On the slack tide we started getting lots of mackerel and everyone on the boat caught some mackerel. The pool was won by Gerry Tengo from Jersey City with a 2.1lb porgy and second place was won by Luis Pereira with a 5.1lb sea bass.

1/2 Day Fluke AM Capt Dave G Reports a good morning of fishing aboard the Viking Star. The trip started in thick fog at slack tide. But then the tide started moving and the fish started to bite. We ended up a with some nice drifts. Plenty of fluke, porgies and sea bass to go around. The pool winners were Marcello Santorelli from Bethpage NY with a 6.75lb Fluke and second place was Frankie Marin from Brooklyn NY with a 6.25lb Fluke.
