Wed July 17- Whale Watching Trip

Sat July 20 – Montauk Jumbo Lighthouse Porgies & Knothead SeaBass
Capt Dave reports very good fishing on the Viking Starship. We started out at the lighthouse where we mostly had large Porgies with a few jumbos mixed in and a handful of SeaBass. We then headed offshore and the first spot was loaded with smaller Seabass, so we moved on to another spot. It was much better there with a steady pick of SeaBass with some in the 4 to 5 lb range. We also had some Fluke, Porgies and Mackerel at that spot. The first place pool winner was Ramon Reynoso from Bronx, NY with a 3.1 lb Scup. The edible pool winner was Steven Thomas from Brooklyn, NY with a 4.7 lb SeaBass.
