Montauk Jumbo Lighthouse Porgies and Knothead Sea Bass Capt Dave reports excellent fishing in the AM aboard the Viking Starship.  We started the morning with one long drift, which produced lots of large and jumbo porgies!  When fishing started to slow we anchored on a rock pile and caught a mix basket of mixed sized fish.  We then moved out east and drifted for sea bass.  The drift was quick with wind against tide conditions but we picked through lots of littles and limits were taken.  Today’s pool winner was Jiang Quan of Brooklyn, NY with a 2.12lb porgy.

AM Half Day Fishing Capt Dave G reports an okay morning of fishing today aboard the Viking Star. We had a stiff breeze and difficult drifting conditions, but still managed to catch some keeper fluke and sea bass. The pool winner was Robby Cunningham of Miller Place, NY with 3.5lb.

Montauk Jumbo Lighthouse Porgies and Knothead Sea Bass Capt Dave reports rough conditions with decent fishing today aboard the Viking Starship.  We fished were the weather allowed and put together a good catch.  We had lots of big porgies, with a few sea bass and mackerel in the mix as well.  Today’s pool winner was William Tomlinson of Bronx, NY with a 3.5lb porgy.

Night Striped Bass Capt Stephen D reports yet another tough night of fishing aboard the Viking Starship.  Despite our best efforts we were unable to put anything together.  The full moon is next weekend and we are excepting the fishing to improve.

Half Day Fishing PM Capt Joe reports a good afternoon of fishing aboard the Viking Star.  We had all the usual suspects in the mix today, lots of mackerel, sea bass, porgies and a handful of fluke as well.  Today’s pool winner was John Becak of East Islip, NY with a 3.5lb fluke.

Montauk Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Seabass Capt Dave reports another day of excellent fishing on the Viking Starship. We had great fishing in the early morning at the lighthouse, after that we went offshore to the SeaBass grounds where we had mixed size fish with some Porgies. There were also couple of Fluke and a lot of Mackerel. The first place pool winner was Phillipe Olivaios from Brooklyn with a 2.11 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Uhareen Taylor from Westbury, NY with a 4.1 lb Fluke.

1/2 Day Fishing Captain Dave G reports a very good morning of fishing today aboard the Viking Star. We caught lots of sea bass and porgies and some keeper fluke. There was non stop action the entire trip. The first place pool winner was AJ Dickey from New Hartford, CT with a 4.5 lb Fluke. The second place pool winner was Michael Gramando from North Salem, NY with a 4 lb Sea Bass.

The first place pool winner was Douglas Fleisher from Union City, NJ with a 7.4 lb Fluke. The second place pool winner was Gregor from Montauk with a 6.9 lb Fluke.
