Capt Dave reports a good day on the Viking Starlite. It was a slow pick most of the day with nice sized Porgies. We had to move around and make a bunch of drops. Everyone had their limit of quality Porgies. The pool winner was Carlos Alas from Roosevelt, NY with a 3 lb Porgy.

Sat June 5 – 1/2 Day AM

Capt JR reports a decent pick of fish this morning on the Viking Star. We caught some Fluke throughout the morning with some keepers mixed in. We also had a few Porgies in the mix. Every trip seems to be improving with more species beginning to bite everyday. There was a tie for the pool with 7.5 lb Bluefish between Michael Cavaliere from Mount Sinai, NY and Angelo Demetroulakos from Brooklyn, NY.

Fri June 4 – Montauk Jumbo Porgies

Capt Dave reports a good trip on the Viking Starlite. Out of necessity due to the weather we headed to the bay where we found a good pick of Large Porgies up to 3 lbs. It was steady all day with medium to large fish at all the drops we made. There was not a pool today.

Tue June 1 to Fri June 4 Capt Steven Sr reports a tremendous offshore trip on the Viking Starship. Knowing that bad weather was coming at the end of the trip, we took a long ride to the far and deep. The start to the trip was very very good. We had Tile, Pollock, Hake…

Wed June 2 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies

Capt Dave reports a slower day of mixed bag fishing on the Viking Starlite. We fished the lighthouse today where there was quite a lot of action, just not a ton of keepers. The Porgies we did have were big. We also had keeper Bluefish, 1/2 dozen short Striped Bass and throwback SeaBass. The pool winner was Julio Rebot from the Bronx, NY with a 3 lb Porgy. The trip is cancelled for tomorrow.

Mon May 31 – Montauk Spring Jumbo Porgies

Capt Dave reports a very slow day of fishing on the Viking Starlite. We only had a couple of Porgies caught in the bay, so we headed to the lighthouse. We caught a handful of nice size Porgies there. There was also a bunch of SeaBass that were returned. The trip is cancelled for tomorrow. Charles Vaillant Jr. was the pool winner with a 2 1/4 lb Porgy on his birthday!

Thurs May 27 – Montauk Spring Jumbo Porgies

Capt Dave reports a very tough day on the Viking Starlite. There was a strong moon tide and dirty water after the storm that went through early this morning. It was picky, but we did manage some decent size Porgies, a few Bluefish and a keeper Fluke. The trip is cancelled for Friday May 28 & Saturday May 29.

Sun May 23 – Montauk Spring Jumbo Porgies

Capt Dave reports a SPECTACULAR day on the Viking Starlite. Best day so far this spring! The Porgy fishing was very very good with a lot of double headers in the mix. We also had a Striped Bass. The pool winner was Leonardo Reinoso from Brooklyn, NY with a 3 lb Porgy.

Sun May 23 – 1/2 Day AM

Capt JR reports a slow morning on the Viking Star. Due to a huge ground swell the fishing was a bit off this morning. We did manage to pick a few fluke and bend some rods. Hopefully the swell will disappear and the fish will bite again.
