Fishing Reports

Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass Capt Dave reports a decent day of fishing on the Viking Superstar. The Porgies are still here and we caught plenty of them. We had a handful of the really good sized ones. Everyone who really worked at it through the cold had their limits of both Porgies & Sea Bass. We also had about 1 dozen Cod up to 15 lbs. The pool winner was John Cho from Manhattan, NY with a 3.11 lb Porgy.

Block Island Jumbo Porgies and Knothead Sea Bass Captain Dave reports another nice day of fishing today aboard the Viking Superstar. We had to look around a bit and pick through some smaller fish, but we ended up with a nice pile of nice quality fish. We had some really nice sized porgies and sea bass today, along with about 15 keeper cod up to 17lbs. Unfortunately tomorrow’s trip has been CANCELLED due to weather.

Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies and Knothead Sea Bass Capt Dave reports lots of action today aboard the Viking Superstar.  We picked through little fish all day but limits of both sea bass and porgies were caught.  We also caught a good amount of cod fish today.  Today’s first place pool winner was Brantley Black of Newark, NJ 3.5lb porgy.  The second place pool winner was George Liang of Brooklyn, NY with a 24lb cod.

We had to pick through a lot of smaller fish today, but by the end of the day everyone had their limits, or close to it, of both porgies and sea bass. We also had about 10 keeper cod and a couple pollack. Today’s pool winner was Lee Eli with a nice 4.4lb porgy.

Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass Capt Dave reports a lot of action on the Viking Superstar. There were tons of bites, but the majority was smaller fish. We moved off to a different area where we had nicer sized Porgies and Sea Bass and quite a few Cod. There were 30 plus Cod up to 16 lbs. Everyone had close to their limits. The first place pool winner was Sing Wong with a 2 3/4 lb Porgy. The second place winner was Jun Liu with a 16 lb Cod.
