Night Striped Bass Capt Carl reports another FINE night of Bass fishing on the Viking Starship. It started off slow as we waited for the flood tide to start, and once it did we started to pick away at giant Striped Bass! For the last couple of hours of the trip we saw anywhere from 1-4 big fish per drift and despite a couple of smaller 15-18 pounders, the rest were in the 25-40 lb class. All 3 mates were still cutting fish after we got to the dock. It was a FINE night! Michael Flood from Plainview, NY took top honors in the pool with a 40.2 pound behemoth Bass, and longtime regular Marty “Wellen” Dowd from NYC, NY took second with a respectable 37.3 pounder. Congrats guys!
