Mixed Bag-PM Captain Dave G reports fishing was slow due to the windy conditions. We did manage a catch of some porgies, sea bass and blue fish. The pool winner was Ed Mackin from Boonton, NJ with an 8.7lb blue fish. Mixed Bag-AM Captain Dave G reports a tough morning of fishing aboard the Viking Star in a strong NE wind. They picked away at porgies and sea bass. The pool winner was Chris Mackin from Boonton, NJ with a 13.5 blue fish. Block Island Behemoth Striped Bass Captain Carl reports a slow night of fishing. It was tough conditions which made for tough fishing and e made out with only one bass and just a few blues. The pool winner was Alex of Staten Island with a 22lb striped bass. Mixed Bag-AM Captain Dave G reports a great morning of fishing in windy conditions. There were plenty of big porgies and nice sea bass despite the breeze. The pool winner was Chris Mackin from Boonton, NJ with a 3.5lb porgy. Thur Sept 24

Montauk Fall Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports that we had action all day long and that the fish were a bit smaller in size today. We had some sea bass and about 1 dozen keeper cod in the mix. The pool winner Mr Billy Wong from New Jersey with a 4lb porgy. Second place winner was Ed Brown from York, Pa with a 10lb Cod. Night Striped Bass Captain Stephen D reports tough conditions last night aboard the Viking Starship. We managed a few keeper bass and blue fish. The pool winner was Andy Corona from Saratoga Springs, NY with an 18lb Striped Bass.

Wed Sept 23

Montauk Fall Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports that due to windy conditions fishing was slower today. We did manage to get porgies and a few sea bass and about 40 keeper cod in the mix. The pool winner was Keung Au from New York with a 3.2lb porgy. Second place went to Mr Miguel  ( best life guard) Rios  from Brooklyn, NY with a 9.9 lb Cod.

Tue Sept 22

Montauk Fall Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports good fishing today aboard the Viking Starship. We had plenty of porgies, sea bass, cod and a keeper striped bass. Today’s pool winner was Samuel Gomez from Brentwood, NY with a 3lb porgy.

Sun Sept 20

2 Night Tuna LTD  Friday Sept 18-Sun Sept 20 Captain Steven Sr will have a full report later. The tuna pool winner was Jay Kim from  Lodi, NJ with a 75lb yellow.  The sword pool winner was Brad Bergen from East Islip, NY with a 110 pounder. The big eye pool winner  was Joseph Khamis from West Chester, NY with a 180 pounder. Half Day PM Captain Stephen Francis reports a nice afternoon of fishing today. We targeted mostly sea bass and porgies and everyone caught really well. We did have some fluke in the mix. Today’s pool winner was Angelow Demetroulakos of Brooklym with another 4 lb fluke. Sat Sept 19

Half Day Fluke PM Captain Dave G reports a beautiful afternoon on the water with some great fishing. We had a slow start with the slack tide, but once the tide started going, the fish started biting! We had plenty of poriges, sea bass and a keeper fluke. Dylan Gallagher of Sayville won the pool with a 3lb porgy. Half Day Fluke AM Captain Dave G reports a great morning on the water. We started slow at slack tide, but when the tide started so did the bite. There were plenty of porgies, sea bass and keeper fluke for all. Fri Sept 18

3 Day TNT Sept 14 – Sept 17 The pool winners were Elliott Segal from Smithtown, NY with a tile fish (size to follow) and Geoff Morse from Boston, MA with a Swordfish and Ken Clark with a Tuna. Full report to follow. Mixed Bag – AM Captain Dave G reports a great morning of fishing. On the first drop we caught a lot of big porgies. After that we caught big sea bass and a keeper fluke. Everyone had full buckets. The pool winner was Kimberly Cuozzo from Wappingsfalls, NY with a 4.5lb fluke. Thur Sept 17

Half Day Fluke PM Captain Dave G  reports a good afternoon of fishing. We had keeper fluke, sea bass and porgies. Today’s pool winner was Don Leisengang of Putnam Valley with a 4lb fluke. Montauk  Fall Jumbo Porgy and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a slower start today. After they moved and anchored up fishing got good. Porgies, sea bass, fluke and cod came over the rails. The pool winner was Lee Hung from Brooklyn, NY with a 3.5lb porgy. Second place went to Jim Sincebaugh from Rochester, NY with a 12lb blue fish. Half Day Fluke AM Captain Dave G reports a good morning of fishing. There were a lot of sea bass and porgies, and plenty of action for all. The pool winner was Toni Catanzano from Deer Park, NY Sea with a  3.5lb sea bass.

Wed Sept 16

Half Day Fluke PM Captain Stephen D reports slow going on the fluke grounds this afternoon. We had solid sea bass and scup coming over the rails. The Pool winner Karol Draspa from Poland with a 3lbs Sea Bass. Montauk Fall  Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports that fishing this morning was good.  We had porgies, sea bass and a couple of keeper fluke, blues and cod in the mix. The Pool winner was Henry Dan from Queens, NY with a 2.5 lb porgy. The edible pool winner was Louis Mercieca from Merrick, NY with a 7lb blue fish. Half Day Fluke AM Captain Stephen D reports a beautiful day on the water. We had great fishing on the fluke grounds with action all morning long. We had sea Bass up to 5lbs and fluke up to 4lbs….
