Capt Carl reports a slower night on the Squid grounds. After 4 days of unrelenting wind, the water was churned up and it made the bite picky. We still caught some Extra Large Tubes, just not as many as we normally see. Things should improve tonight with a really nice weather forecast for a change! Back at it at 6:30pm and plenty of space available.

The anglers who were dialed in were able to fill a bucket… and everyone else picked away with 1/4-1/2 bucket full of tasty Extra Large Montauk Squid ! For the first hour of the trip, we had rain, circling winds, and just weird conditions… but once that settled down, we picked away at Quality Extra Large Squid for the rest of the trip. As always, some anglers did much better…

Capt Dave reports an excellent fishing on the Viking Starship. Our morning began with an active fishing of Porgy, so we had a great mix of Porgy sized. Then we had many good-sized bites from Sea Bass. We also had Bluefish, Bonita, Mackerel and throw back Cod. We definitely had better fishing that yesterday. People went home with their bucket full for dinner. The first place pool winner was Willie Thomanson from Bronx, NY with a 3.2 lb Porgy.
