Sat June 27 – Whale Watching
Another astonishing trip with 5 species of cetaceans, a leatherback sea turtle, ocean sunfish, and a plethors of pelagic birds. We started our trip in slight haze that burnt\ed off as we progressed. We has reports of whales to our south and off we went. We found our 1st pelagic birds as well as finback whale and Tamanend’s bottlenose dolphins(Tursiops erebennus) within a few miles of Montauk Light. As we headed further S, we continued to find pelagic birds, and whales. Finbacks (Balaenoptera physalus) in every direction including what appeared to be mom/calf pairs, squid (Illex spp.) were everywhere and the finbacks were feasting. Most shearwaters (Great, Sooty, Cory’s) were so full that they could barely take off. Mon June 29 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Seabass
Captain Dave reports another excellent day of fishing off the Montauk Lighthouse! Today, we reeled in plenty of nice-sized Porgies and Seabass, along with some Bluefish to top off the catch. Congratulations to our pool winner, Francis Henry of Brooklyn, NY, who landed an impressive 2.3-pound Porgy!
Sun June 28 – Full Moon Striped Bass

Sun June 28 – 1/2 Day Fishing PM
Captain Carl reports a nice afternoon on the 1/2 day boat. We again saw a mixed bag of Porgies, Sea Bass, Fluke, and even a Blackfish (released)! It was another FINE day on the water! There was no pool on this afternoons trip.

Captain Carl reports a foggy morning on our 1/2 day trip, but our anglers were having fun catching Porgies, Sea Bass, and Flukes. We will be back at it at 1PM. The fog is clearing and the seas are FLAT calm! The pool winner was Mike Daigle from Stroudburgh, PA, with a 3.2 lb Porgy.

Captain Carl reports an oddly slow night on our Bass trip. We drifted through thousands of Bass crashing and thrashing on the surface… we read them thick on the bottom too… but just couldn’t get them to bite. We did land some beauties that were WAY too big to keep…. But with all the feeding…
Sat June 27 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies and Seabass
Capt. Dave reports a little bit of a difficult morning fighting the full moon tide. Once we got away from the tide fishing really picked up. We had mostly large and jumbo Porgies with a handful of Seabass mixed in. The first place pool winner was Havier M. from Deer Park, with a 2.6lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Tyler C. from Edison, NJ with a 3lb Seabass.
Fri June 26 – 1/2 Day Fishing PM
A lot of action on this afternoon’s trip! The Pool winner was Charles Boscarino from Springs, NY with a 3.2 lb Porgy. We are only sailing from 1PM to 5PM tomorrow for the 1/2 Day trip.
