Wed Aug 7 to Fri Aug 9 – 48 Hour Tuna Charter Capt Steven Jr reports another great tuna trip this week on the Viking Fivestar with a load of nice Yellow Fin from 50-75 lbs. We ended up only a couple fish shy of our limit, but the group had plenty of fish to take home. We also released a big Blue Marlin around 600lbs! We have a few open spots on the 48 hour Tuna trip on Friday August 23rd thru the 25th and a few spots available on the August 31st 3 Day TNT trip. Fri Aug 2 to Mon Aug 5 3 Day TNT! Steven Jr reports another slammer offshore Tuna and Tile Trip on the Viking Fivestar this weekend! We ended up with our limit of Yellow Fin up to 80lbs and a swinging load of Golden Tiles up to 25lbs with some Pollock, Hake, Blueline Tile and some big Barrel Fish mixed in! Honorable mention to Bob Gregson who had a 28.8lb Barrel Fish, a Sword around 100lbs and one of the largest Yellow Fin. Overall a great trip with a great group of guys and excellent fishing and perfect weather. We have another 3 Day TNT trip coming up on August 31st and there are some open spots. George’s Bank Haddock/Cod – Nantucket Fluke – Sun July 21st to Tue July 23 Capt Steven Sr reports a very good trip on the Viking Star to George’s Bank and Nantucket for Cod, Haddock and Fluke. We started Day One on George’s Bank with wind against tide and poor drifting conditions. We picked away with small Cod and Haddock, and had to fight our way through the dogfish, and there were lots of them! Later in the morning as the tide turned, the drifting conditions improved and we caught plenty of Cod and Haddock. The guys who worked diamond jigs did the best, avoiding the dogfish and filling their coolers with plenty of market size Cod, Haddock and even a few Pollock. Thurs July 17-XXXL Tile by day Sword by Night Sunday July 14 to Thursday July 17 Capt. Steven Sr reports an amazing trip and states that if you had any thoughts about going you missed it. We caught Tile Fish up to 26 lbs, Hake, Pollack, Barrel up to 20 lbs, Yellow Fin Tuna up to 60 lbs, Big Eye Tuna up to 160 lbs, and to top it off Sword Fish up to 135 lbs. All in all it was a slammer trip, we had super great guys on the boat and the captain welcomes them back anytime. The pool winner for Tile fish was Louis Miller from Berne, NY. The edible pool winner was Geoff Morse from Boston, MA with a Swordfish.

3 Day TNT – Viking Fivestar Capt Steven Jr reports an excellent trip off to the deep this weekend. We had 21 Yellow Fin up to 96lbs, a nice shot of Golden Tiles to 25lbs, a load of Blue Line Tiles to 14lbs, around 15 Barrel fish up to 20lbs and released a Blue fin that was around the 400-500lb mark. We also released a bunch of smaller yellows and had a nice White Marlin. We covered about 50 miles of the bank and had a Yellow Fin everywhere we went. Things are shaping up to be a good year offshore! We have a 48 hour open boat Tuna trip this weekend and we are looking for a couple more guys to make the trip a go!
