Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass Captain Dave reports another great day of fishing on the Viking Star. We had an excellent Porgy bite with a steady pick of really good size fish. The SeaBass was a tough pick with short fish, but everyone managed a few keepers. Today was the first day almost everybody had at least one Cod! The first place pool winner was us Yadaicela from Queens, NY with a 3.6 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Joses Hernandez from Queens, NY with a 17 lb Cod. Unfortunately we are CANCELLED tomorrow due to weather, but we look forward to getting back out there next week.

Sat Dec 1 Early Report: Viking Fivestar Capt Steven Jr called in with a quick report that he has found the HADDOCK! The Guys on the Viking Fivestar were rewarded today with incredible Haddock fishing! We have never seen these kinds of numbers of large haddock here so to say that we are excited is an understatement! Capt Steven Jr has added a special HADDOCK Hunt for this Monday on the Viking Fivestar leaving at 4am and returning at 3pm limited to 12 pass and the fare is $250. Don’t miss out! Cod/Seabass/Blackfish – Viking Fivestar Capt Steven Jr reports a good day on the Block Island grounds. Seabassing was slower then it’s has been this fall with some smaller fishing showing up. We did had a solid shot of quality cod today and a handful of nice Blackfish too. We have added some 30-50 mile wreck trips and some special Coxes Cod/Seabass trips for December! These trip will fill up quick so give us a call at the office and get booked before they are all full!

Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass Capt Dave reports great fishing today on the Viking Star. It took awhile to find them, but when we did it was the best Porgy fishing we have seen in awhile. The SeaBass fishing was a bit tough, but once we picked through the small stuff everyone pretty much had their limit. We also had a very good day with over 30 Cod on the boat ranging in the high teens to over 20 pounds. There was a big showing of Boston Mackerel with anglers filling their coolers. The first place pool was a tie with 3 lb Porgies caught by Wu Wu Mang from NYC and Idrz Likovic from Montenegro. The edible pool winner was Mike Emmanouilidis from Union, NJ with a 22 lb Cod.

We started out catching a lot of little Seabass, but by the end everyone had their limit of keepers. We also had a lot of Porgies and a handful of Cod. There was no pool today. Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass Capt Dave reports a good day fishing aboard the Viking Starship. We had to make a lot of moves today. Fishing would be good for an hour then slow down but every spot did product a nice mix of Porgies, SeaBass and Cod Fish. Most people ended up with their limit of Porgies and Seabass. The pool winners were Wo Mang form Brooklyn NY with a 2 1/2 lb porgy, and Jose St Marthe from Yonkers NY with a 18 lb Cod.
