Captain Anthony reports excellent fishing despite tough early conditions. We crushed shorties to start the day only picking a couple for the frying pan. Once the tide began to flood, the keepers started biting! We also had a mix of porgysaurus’, some blues and a few sea bass (released unharmed). Today’s first place pool winner was Elizabeth Serge-Lawrence of Sag Harbor with a 4.5lb fluke and in second was Patrick Halpin of Locust Valley, NY with a 4.2lb fluke.
Captain Ant reports a solid night of bass fishing how ever it took some jigging skill to really have a good night due to there ripping tide tallied 10 bass & Chris and Danny swept 1st & 2nd with a 23.7 lber & 19lber respectively. While jigging was solid with bass, blues, scup & fluke the eel bite was picky. We scratched a drift it seems all night but could not get multi hookups. The pool winners were Chris Luke Southampton, NY with a 23lbs and second place went to Danny Wes Watermill, NY with a 19lbs.
Capt Ant reports an AWESOME afternoon trip. BIG Fluke just bit their heads off. Freddy Shea had a Goliath 9.4lber. Dough Fleischer from Hoboken took the pool with a 7lb 14oz doormat Joe Venezia took 2nd with a 6lb 4oz slob. Dom Pellicio was high hook with 3 to 5lbs. We also had a mess of jumbo ocean porgies and a few blues a true Viking Bonanza. Click HERE to view photos!
