BLOCK ISLAND BEHEMOTH REPORT Capt. Ant can only say HOLY MOO COW!!!!!!  What a night we had across the pond.  It wasn’t fast and furious as we’ve recently experienced at the lighthouse but man was it steady and trophy abundant!!!  Four, yes four Block Island Behemoths were landed by our Bass Assassins.  Ed Persico and Frank Stoutenberg had the largest linesiders weighing in at the dock at 42.5lbs and 42.3lbs respectively.  Eddie Kantar nailed a 41.15lber and Jay Weber rounded out last nights 40 Club with a 40.8 beautifully striped Moo cow.  Other notables were JimRozas who nailed 6 (orl), the two largest going 38 and 35.14lbs, also Jim’s largest ever!!  This man was just on fire at one point nailing 5 in 5 drifts.  Jonny “Jesus of the Elbow” Rewinski had his limit to 36lbs, yet sobbed after dropping…

Half Day Fluke PM Captain Carl reports a good afternoon of fishing! We started off with some BIG doormats biting! Jessica Giarrizzo of Port Jeff took the pool with her first ever fluke at 7.22lbs! Her boyfriend Dominic Pellegrino also had a nice 5.15 pounder! They had some other keepers too and there were lots of other keepers around the boat. We also had lots of short action. Overall it was a great day of fluke fishing! . Montauk Local Porgies Captain Dave reports a good day of porgy fishing today. We tried some new spots and found good action but the fish were a bit smaller. Then we went back to the regular spots an caught the jumbo fish. We also had about 1/2 dozen fluke in the mix. Tuesday June 24

Half Day Fluke PM Captain Carl reports a tougher afternoon than the morning trip. Towards the end of the trip we finally had some good tide and keeper fluke coming along with giant scup in the mix along with some sea bass that were all released unharmed. Montauk Jumbo Porgies Captain Dave reports a good day great weather on the porgy  grounds we had  lots of action coming over the rails some small to medium  size porgies mixed in.The pool winner was Mr James Mcleod with a 3.5lb . Saturday June 14

Full Moon Night Bass Capt Ant reports am awesome full moon bass trip. It was a steady bite most of the night with a few beauties coming aboard that needed to pay the extra baggage fee!  Brian Finnegan led the way with the first moo cow of the season at 30.9lbs. He also had a 27, a 25 and a 24 orl. We had a few with their limit as well. They’re here in numbers folks, we are sailing Sunday at 530p to do it again!!! New Bedford Porgies and Sea Bass PM Captain Dave reports a very good afternoon of fishing in New Bedford! He says ” It’s Porgy Time!” He thinks it is the start of some really good porgy fishing! There is a new body of fish coming in, and we had them coming over the rails all afternoon! We had mostly big fish, nice porgies and a few very nice sea bass in the mix as well. The pool winner was Subbaiah Somaiah of the Bronx with a nice 3.5lb porgy. Sunday May 18

Half Day Pm Fluke Capt Ant reports a Sensational afternoon of fluking. Frederick Shea had his daily limit of 5 fish to 5.2 lbs. Angelo Demetroulakos from Brooklyn, NY took the pool with a 4.65 lber. Christine and Mary each caught dinner and Mikey Nelson bagged 4 to 4lbs and a couple blues. George Reid and Shawn Chatham combined for 6. Montauk Local porgies Capt Ant reports the scup have not arrived yet and based on everything else a week behind schedule. We switched to fluke and had 15 keepers in 90 minutes with a Molly Whopper going 7.5lbs. Tuesday September 10

Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports another great day of fishing today. We headed to the west side and found a slew of porgies. We had some time to look for some sea bass, and although we found them, we had to pick through a lot to keep a few. But everyone managed to get a couple sea bass. We did have a couple fluke and bluefish, but it was mostly porgies today. Today’s pool winner was Lou with a 3lb porgy.

Thursday September 5

Night Striped Bass Capt Ant reports another slow night on the bass grounds however we did nail a beauty at 34.88lbs caught by Francis Mistresse of Lindenhurst N.Y wind against tide gave us a very slow drift all night and it was tough to cover any ground. Conditions for tonight will no doubt be better with wind with a new moon tide. fingers crossed! Half Day Fluke PM Captain Joe reports an okay afternoon of fishing. We didn’t do as well as we have done in the last couple days. It was wind against tide but we managed a decent catch of fluke, porgies and sea bass. Wednesday September 4

Half Day Fluke PM Captain Joe reports another excellent afternoon of fishing today. It was great action all afternoon with sea bass, porgies and lots of nice big fluke! Today’s pool winner was Betsey “Aunt Bee” Downey of Deer Park with a 9.1lb fluke. Block Island Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a great day of fishing today! It was a solid day from start to finish! Thankfully we were able to stay away from the dogs today and we sailed away with a really nice mix of porgies and sea bass. All in all it was a great day and we cant wait to go back out again tomorrow! Today’s first place winner was Scotland of Jersey City with a 3lb porgy, and in second was Chin of Chinatown with a 5lb bluefish.

Friday August 30

Half Day Fluke PM Fishing was very good this afternoon. We had lots of fluke and a nice mix of bluefish, porgies and sea bass. Everyone went home with some fish! James Borteck took the pool with a 5lbs fluke. Full Day Porgies & Sea Bass Captain Dave reports another good day of porgy fishing we had lots off porgies and sea bass up to 4lbs we even manage to get 2 keeper striped bass and some blue fish in the mix. The pool winner Mr Michael Haywood from Brooklyn, NY with a 3lb porgy. Half Day Fluke AM Captain Anthony reports a FLUKETASTIC morning trip with practically pure flatties coming over the rail. We averaged 2 keeps a person with 5 people at their limit!! We had a few sea bass and scup but the fluke bite was incredible….
