BLOCK ISLAND BEHEMOTH REPORT Capt. Ant can only say HOLY MOO COW!!!!!! What a night we had across the pond. It wasn’t fast and furious as we’ve recently experienced at the lighthouse but man was it steady and trophy abundant!!! Four, yes four Block Island Behemoths were landed by our Bass Assassins. Ed Persico and Frank Stoutenberg had the largest linesiders weighing in at the dock at 42.5lbs and 42.3lbs respectively. Eddie Kantar nailed a 41.15lber and Jay Weber rounded out last nights 40 Club with a 40.8 beautifully striped Moo cow. Other notables were JimRozas who nailed 6 (orl), the two largest going 38 and 35.14lbs, also Jim’s largest ever!! This man was just on fire at one point nailing 5 in 5 drifts. Sunset Striper Slam Capt. Ant reports another amazing Bass trip on the Starship. This by far has been the greatest week of striper fishing we’ve seen in years. Yes we had our regulars coming multiple trips to enjoy what they know has been a gift, but we had more first timers, young ladies, even small children not only catch their first Striper, but catch their first Trophy Moo Cow Linesider. Check out the pix, they tell the story. George Jehn and Briggs Houston led the way last night nailing 3 fish apiece (only retaining limit), each in the 30-34lb class. Sunset Striper Slam Capt Ant reports the Light was alive with life last night with once again producing massive Porgys on the jig, blues and Doug Seay’s pool winning Striper! We had an hour if no tide but that didn’t stop the scup. Super Mate Steve Ho filleted 3 bushels of scup, you couldn’t keep them off the hook. At the start if the tide we caught some blues to 8lbs and unfortunately once we had a fast enough drift it was dark. Still a great night and bags of fillets for every customer. Half Day Fluke PM Captain Carl reports a good afternoon of fishing! We started off with some BIG doormats biting! Jessica Giarrizzo of Port Jeff took the pool with her first ever fluke at 7.22lbs! Her boyfriend Dominic Pellegrino also had a nice 5.15 pounder! They had some other keepers too and there were lots of other keepers around the boat. We also had lots of short action. Overall it was a great day of fluke fishing! . Montauk Local Porgies Captain Dave reports a good day of porgy fishing today. Half Day Fluke PM Captain Carl reports a tougher afternoon than the morning trip. Towards the end of the trip we finally had some good tide and keeper fluke coming along with giant scup in the mix along with some sea bass that were all released unharmed. Montauk Jumbo Porgies Captain Dave reports a good day great weather on the porgy grounds we had lots of action coming over the rails some small to medium size porgies mixed in.The pool winner was Mr James Mcleod with a 3.5lb . Montauk Jumbo Porgies Capt Dave reports a decent day today in Montauk, NY. The morning bite was good, pulling up nice quality porgies up to about 4lbs. The afternoon was a little tougher with the different tide, but we still managed nice big fish coming over the rails. Most people aboard had their limit or close to it, and we also had some fluke in the mix.

Full Moon Night Bass Capt Ant reports am awesome full moon bass trip. It was a steady bite most of the night with a few beauties coming aboard that needed to pay the extra baggage fee! Brian Finnegan led the way with the first moo cow of the season at 30.9lbs. He also had a 27, a 25 and a 24 orl. We had a few with their limit as well. New Bedford Porgies and Sea Bass Pm Captain Dave reports that the afternoon porgy and sea bass trip was excellent most people had there limit of both porgies and sea bass. The pool winner was Danny Situ from Brooklyn with a 3lb New Bedford Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports another very good day of fishing in New Bedford. We had tons of action in the morning with some really nice sized fish. Today’s first place pool winner was Cesar Morocho of Spring Valley, NY with a nice 3.5 porgy, and in second place was Eugene Thomas of Queens with a nice 5lb sea bass. New Bedford Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports another good day of fishing in New Bedford! There was plenty of fish, both sea bass and porgies. We had some really nice sized fish today, with nice sea bass up to 5lbs. Today’s pool winner was Alice Jones with a 3.25lb porgy. Montauk Cherry Harbor Porgies Capt Ant report for this mornings porgy trip is simply one word…BAIL!!! We started the day with 2 and a half straight hours of a porgy crush.
