Wednesday October 9

Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports an okay day of fishing today. The morning started out good with some porgies, but when the conditions got a bit worse, the bite dropped out. We moved to try and find some sea bass, and we did, but they were much smaller than we have been seeing. We also had some bluefish in the mix. Today’s first place winner was JC McLeod of Brooklyn with a 3lb porgy, and in second place was Jeff Greenbaum of NY with a 12lb bluefish.

Tuesday October 8

Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a very good day of fishing today. It was very good fishing for porgies today and was okay for the sea bass. We saw a bit smaller size sea bass today but there were plenty of them. Today’s pool winner was Dimas A Sorto of Brentwood with a 3.5lb porgy.

Monday October 7

Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a good day of fishing today. It was a bit rough out today, but we still managed to get some really nice sized porgies and a ton of sea bass. Everyone had their limit of sea bass. All in all it was a good day.

Saturday October 5

Night Striped Bass Capt Ant reports an okay night of bassing.The bite was “softer” than Friday night meaning the fish were there but they were biting less aggressively  tons of swings  and misses but plenty of fish landed as well for those that let them eat. Most fish were in the high teens low 20’s even jesus of the elbow swiped at a few, only landing one.The pool winner Paul with a 28lber Second place Tie Kira Gary from West Islip, NY Eric Cruz Bronx, NY with a 24lbs .Tonight we will be sailing at 5pm sharp Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a good day of fishing today aboard the Viking Starship. Friday October 4

Night Striped Bass Capt Ant reports a good night of bassing although the beast from the east (wind) came on again and made for unorthodox drifting we saw larger fish tonight with most in the 20’s. James  Connors from St James, NY found a moocow with a 32lber Second Place went to Scott Coates from Massapequa, NY with a 24lb. Striped Bass and Blues Jigging PM Captain Ant reports a solid jigging trip Friday pulling Montauk’s fall bounty out of the Atlantic bass, blues, scup, sea bass and a beautiful bonito made for an excellent excursion. Wednesday October 2

Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a much better day today than it has been the last few days! It was a good day with lots of nice sized porgies and sea bass. The quality was there today! Today’s first place pool winner was George Orfanos of the Bronx with a 4lb porgy and in second was Scotland Versa with a 4.5lb sea bass.

Sunday September 29

Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a bit of a slow day today. It was better than yesterday, with a steady catch, but some smaller sized porgies and sea bass. Today’s first place pool winner was Roy Tyrell of Paterson NJ with a 2.5lb porgy, and in second place was Mohammad Mukul of Queens with a 3lb sea bass.

Thursday September 26

Night Striped Bass Capt Ant reports a slow night of bassing. We marked everywhere we went, only 1 bass on the ebb, then we had to sit through the slack and the start  of the flood we found beautiful blues biting baits. We picked away and in the blues we picked a few more bass. Once the tide started cranking, all stopped not a touch. Pool winner Mr Rodger Nelson from Baldwin, NY with a 27lbs Second place Mr Stan Skiba from Sparta, NJ with a 24lber Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a better day of fishing than yesterday. Saturday Aug 3

Night Striped Bass Captain Ant reports,The best overall trip we had all year. with a full boat we had our limit all on jigs. Fish were between 10lbs and 35lbs we just hit it right tonight a total of 7 long drifts had the linesiders following the Starship over half a mile at a time. If i wrote all the names of the limited out fares you would get 90% of the roster Sick Fishing! Pool winner Shawn Donovan from Huntington, NY with 35lbs Second place Gene Faucella Roslyn, NY with a 31lbs  We will be Jigging again Sunday  at 5.30 sharp!
