Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports another good day of fishing today. Everyone filled their coolers today with plenty of porgies, sea bass and cod, all mixed in sizes. Today’s first place pool winner was Matthew Padavatton of Queens with a 3.5lb porgy and in second place was Mak of Philadelphia with a 12lb cod. Unfortunately, due to weather, tomorrows trip for BI Porgies and Sea Bass has been CANCELLED. Make sure you check with the website or call the office tomorrow to see if we will sail on Monday.

Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports another good day of fishing again today. We had a really nice mix of good sized porgies and sea bass. We also had a good amount of cod up to about 15lbs. Today’s first place pool winner was Anna Kapusniak of Queens with a 3.5lb porgy and in second was Carlos Jackson of Queens with a 15lb cod. The Viking Starship is back and will be sailing for the porgy and sea bass trip tomorrow.

Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Anthony reports tremendous fishing today despite the nautical conditions. All it took was one anchor drop and coolers were busting with giant scup and limits of sea bass. There was no pool today, but the largest porgy was an easy 4 lbs. We had sea bass to 5lbs blues to 7lbs and red hake to 3lbs. Captain Dave will be back on tomorrow and the wind is supposed to lie down beautifully for your fishing comfort.

Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a good day of fishing today. Despite the cold weather, the sea bass bite was on! Everyone had their limit of sea bass today. We had to go looking for the porgies today, the bite was a little slow. We also had about 8 keeper cod up to about 15lbs. Today’s pool winner was Virginie Salpetrier of the Bronx with a 3.5lb porgy.

Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a tough day of fishing today. It was very cold and windy with some snow this morning, not to mention the dogs were out bothering us today. The porgies bit okay, but we had quite a few nice sea bass. We also had some cod in the mix. Today’s pool winner was Joe Lee Sang of Brooklyn with a 3.75 lb porgy.

Block Island Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports as he did yesterday that it is PORGY TIME!!! We had lots of really big porgies today. We went looking for the sea bass and ended up with a decent catch of pretty nice sized fish up to 6lbs. We did have some blues and about a half dozen cod in the mix. Today’s first place pool winner was Mark Rafferty of Medford with a JUMBO 4.75 lb porgy and in second place was Ron Stehn of Combs Bait and Tackle with a 15lb cod.

Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports an okay day of fishing today. It was a mixed bag with mostly porgies, some really nice sea bass up to 4lbs and about 10 keeper cod. Today’s first place pool winner was Charlie Goines of the Bronx with a 3.5lb porgy and in second was Rob Battaglia of Floral Park with an 11lb cod.

Night Striped Bass Capt Ant reports the Night Bass was Like fishing the desert. We got our butts kicked as the wind never laid down. The pool winner Robert Garfinkel from Wantagh, NY Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports an okay day considering the rough conditions. We had nicer sized fish today, mostly porgies, a handful of sea bass from 2-5lbs and about a dozen keeper cod. Today’s first place pool winner was Matthew Chmil of Flushing with a nice 4lb porgy, and in second place was Joe Cilla of Walden NY with a 10lb cod. Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a tough day of fishing due to the high winds and rough seas. We did manage to have a decent catch of mixed size porgies and a few sea bass. Today’s pool winner was Jose Rodriguez of Flushing with a 3lb porgy.

Everyone was pretty close their limit with some really nice sized porgies. We also had a few big sea bass and about 15 keeper cod up to about 12lbs.
