Evening Live Eel Trip Capt. Ant reports insanity on the mighty Starship. Full boat limit, with mixed sizes from 16 inches to 38lbs caught by Chris cool hand Luke who tallied 11 for the night. Frank Stoutenberg came back and whacked them again. Newly married Sam Kelly was allowed out and whacked 5. Surfcaster Alex Kassian had 6. Once it turned on it just would not turn off, crazy night. Doug Seay had his limit and then some. All who caught more only retained the legal amount. . Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports an okay day today aboard the Viking Starship. We had quality over quantity today with BIG BIG fish. We had nice porgies and nice sea bass, along with some keeper cod in the mix. Today’s first place pool winner was Embley McPherson of East Orange NJ with a 3lb porgy and in second place was Melvie Casacola of Freeport with a 10.5lb cod. Half day Bass and Blues AM Capt Ant reports a great morning of jigging. Once again bass, blues and bonito the montauk grand slam. And once again jumbo scup rounded out the catch. beautiful weather, great jiggers and bounty of the greatest waters in the world. Night Striped Bass Capt Ant reports a bluefish Bonanza on the bass boat and they were BIG. We had most of the flood and could not get through the blues. We picked a few bass at the rip but it died with the tide once we got ebb we found a pile and weeded through more blues and put some bass on the boat.
