New Bedford Porgies

Capt Dave reports a good morning in New Bedford aboard the Viking Starship. It was a good start in the morning with some decent sized porgies, but as soon as the wind kicked up it was a bit picky. We also had some sea bass in the mix which were all released unharmed, but it is a good sign for tomorrow when the sea bass season opens! Today’s first place pool winner was Paula Henry from Patchogue, NY with a nice 2.5lb porgy and in second place was Andrew Faison of Atlanta, GA with a 2 1/4 lb porgy.
