Night Bass Jig and Eel Combo

Capt Ant reports a frustrating night bassing. We had fish immediately on jigs. They were busting water birds everywhere and they were feeding. then the storm hit 20-25 NE winds and torrential rains and completely shut it down but not before George Jehn limited out and took the pool with a 24lber. Chris Luke mailed a nice one as well. We also had a mess of jumbo scup on the jig.
Tonight is our Block Island Behemoths Trip Departing at 8pm Returning at 4am the fare is $125 with a $5 rod rental. Captain Ant reports that some big boys are being caught there.

Half Day Fluke AM and PM

Captain Anthony reports an excellent morning trip, with tons of action and some nice keepers in the mix. Gloria Brower from Secaucus took the pool with a fat 5pounder. Thanks to help from her husband Jim. Steve Trifari had one 4.5lb and Paul Kerisli had 3 keepers. The afternoon trip was much slower, however with a decent size heave on. Bites were more tentative but eventually we had to vacate the zone. We managed a few keepers but not the action we had this morning. The afternoon pool winner was David Roginsay with a nice 5.5lb fluke.

Montauk Local Porgies

Captain Dave reports another good day of fishing on the porgy grounds today. We had some nice sea bass in the mix as well, which were all released unharmed. Today’s pool winner was Shirley Dane of Queens with a nice 3lb porgy.
