Night Striped Bass
Capt Ant reports a slow night basing with one exception.  We took a ride to the Behemoth grounds of Block Island last night for a change of pace as reports of big fish have been floating around.  Well fishing was slow across the pond as well but the big fish are there.  It was slick calm and we had a slow drift all night.  The bait was there but the fish were not stacked around it, perhaps with the lack of tide or the lack of moon.  We combed and combed and picked a few beauties.  Our first Block Island Behemoth came aboard around 1130p.  Jeff ‘Big Man” Thompson from Elmont NY nailed a 40.6lb moo cow linesider.  A well deserved trophy for a man who puts in the effort, congrats Jeff!!
Young Robert Toppi from West Islip also had a Moo Cow of 33lbs.  Our next Block Island trip is next Friday July 4th at 8p. Tonight and tomorrow will be jigging trips at 530p which have been the most productive parts of bassing the last few days.

Half Day fluke Pm

Captain Ant reports absolute fluke mayhem in the PM. We averaged over 2 keepers a person. It was non stop action with healthy fat fluke in buckets on every drift. Young Harris Cohen from New York NY with a 4.75lb took the pool. Way to go Harris
