Sunset Striper Slam

Half Day AM Fluke
Captain Stephen Francis reports a slow start to the morning, but once we had the tide we got in 4 good drifts. Even with the not so great conditions, everyone went home with some meat. Today’s first place pool winner was Christian Gacdobe of St. James, NY with a 4.45lb fluke.

Half Day PM Fluke
Captain Stephen Francis reports a very good fluke bite in the afternoon. We had lots of shorts and keepers coming over the rails all afternoon. Everyone went home happy and with some fish for dinner. Today’s pool winner was Lisa Hamada of Northport, NY with a 4.54lb fluke.

.

Montauk Local Porgies and Sea bass
Captain Dave reports a decent day of fishing today. We had fish of all sizes today, with some sea bass up to about 4lbs. We also had some keeper fluke in the mix. Today’s first place pool winner was John Smith of Brooklyn with a 3lb scup, and in second place was Yani Vargas of Boolyn with a 5lb fluke.

Moo Cow Midnight Madness
Captain Ant reports much calmer conditions on the midnight trip although we were stuck between tides and it slowed our drift down considerably yet the Moo Cows didn’t seem to mind at least at the start of the trip.  We had 6 straight drifts of at least 1 and most were 2-3 bigguns. Ponytail Eric had a 38lber, B-Mott had a 36.7lber,Matt had a 35, Kenny a 30 and thankfully Jonny Jesus of the Elbow limited out by throwing the iron at sun-up.  Gary Bigfish Young had his limit and took second in the pool with a 39.4lber.  John D’Alberti took top fish honors with yet another 40+lb Moo Cow.  John’s biggest bass ever after 30_ years of surfcasting came in at 41.3lbs..  Excellent night of Bassing for sure!!
