Saturday August 2nd

Night Striped Bass Jig & Eel Combo
Captain Ant reports a very solid Bass trip at 6p Saturday.  The conditions were, well sort of evil on the ride.  NE wind an east swell made it uncomfortable for the fisherman, but not the rock slobs.  We had a steady pick while we had tide and landed two Behemoth Bass.  Kevvin Show too the pool with a monster at 47.6lbs and Jim Sincebaugh took second with a 40.2lber.  We had over 10 fish in the 33-38lb range as well.  Mikey Nelson limited to 35.

Full Day Fluke and Sea Bass
Captain Carl reports a great morning on the full day fluke boat. We had all quality flatties and nice sea bass coming up, with a couple managing to catch their limit of fluke, and one guy with his limit of both! Then the weather turned for the worse and it started to get evil out with heavy, strong windsand building swell, so we called the trip and came in early. Jim Sincebaugh from Rochester NY took the pool with a nice 7.7lb fluke, barely edging out a 7.6. The sea bass was 5.2lbs. JUMBO!

Montauk Local Porgies and Sea Bass
Captain Dave reports a very good day of fishing right up until the end when the weather got ugly. We had lots of porgies and plenty of sea bass- both nice quality fish. We also had a few fluke in the mix. All in all it was a good day. Today’s pool winner was Verald Armstrong of Elmont with a 3.5lb porgy.
