Night Striped Bass Jig and Eel Combo Capt Ant reports a slow night. Slow drift, slow ends of tide and slow fishing. That being said James Daniels from Brooklyn nailed a Behemoth at 49lbs. The rock slobs love the slow tide but unfortunately only James could get one to cooperate. Full Day Fluke and Sea Bass Captain Carl reports a decent day on the full day boat. We had slow but steady fishing with both quality fluke and sea bass all day. It never got hot, but every drift produced a couple of each, and by days end added up. Chris Gray put on an absolute clinic catching 13 keeper fluke (orl) and Half Day Man had 6 (orl). They also had a bunch of sea bass. Chris Gray also won the fluke pool with a 7.1lb pounder and Erich…

Once we got a drift it was game on, steady 3-4 a drift for the remainder of the evening for the most part and came very close to our limit. Many fisherman had their daily limit but honors go to 15 yo Jeremy Hernandez who has been fishing like a true Viking all week with his Dad. Jeremy nailed two beauties largest going 34lbs. The pool was a 40.8lb Behemoth by Steve Gershowitz. Victoria Loutsiv did a beautiful job on her 32lb moo cow. Pat Ward had a 37lber. David Kocsis had a 38.4lber, Steve Krapf had a 38 even. Mike Siharij had a 31.6lber and Sam the Man had 4 total but orl. Fantastic night on the water!!! Half Day Fluke PM Captain Anthony…

Sunset Striper Slam Capt Ant reports a slow night on the local grounds. Blues were chopping eels in half for the slower part of the tide and once we got the prime tide, the wind changed and held us up a bit. We were able to find a few but other than a gorgeous sunset, a great crowd, and a beautiful night, fishing was definitely slow. Montauk Local Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a good day of fishing today. It was steady action all day with both mixed sizes of porgies and sea bass. We also had some nice keeper fluke in the mix. Today’s first place pool winner was Jonathan Naranjan of Queens with a 3lb porgy and in second place was Sandy Amanuel of Manhattan with a nice 4.5lb sea bass. Half Day Fluke AM Captain…

Night Striped Bass Midnight Moo Cow Madness On the Midnight trip we went back to the same grounds to see if the fish we marked were hungry. They were thankfully but still not very aggressive as we picked our way through the night and morning. Overall a good trip. A few guys had their limit and most had 1 for the table. We also had a slew of blues and sea bass who were hungry enough to inhale the eels. First place pool winner was Matthew Sheehy of Moriches with a 33.75lb striped bass, and in second was Michael Collins of Sayville with a 32.35lb striped bass. Here are some pix with the gorgeous sun rising as we head west: . Half Day Fluke AM Captain Stephan Francis reports the morning trip had a lot of beautiful sea bass…

Night Striped Bass Jig & Eel Combo Capt Ant reports a tale of two tides for the 6p trip and the Midnight Madness trip. One being fair and the other, well let’s just say painful. On the 6p we had wind against Ebb tide and the Starship felt like it was drifting in mud. We had plenty of marks but I’m thinking the slower speed prevented a feeding frenzy that was the night before. Even the blues weren’t as abundant. We only managed a couple of keepers, a Moo Cow by James Esposito of Shoreham at 30lbs and an 18lber by Martin Wellen Dowd from NYC for 2nd. Half Day Fluke Pm A full report will followThe Pool winner 10 year old Tim Tomczyk from Larchmont, NY with a 6.1lb Second Place Angelo Demetroulakos from Brooklyn, NY with a 4.7lb…

Night Striped Bass Capt. Ant reports a slow start to last nights trip but once we got the tide we had a BEHEMOTH BLAST for the last 2 and a half hours. Overall the trip was fantastic with many of our regular guests catching multiple Moo Cows. Practice makes perfect and these guys just know the way these big boys bite. Chad the Shad had 4 to 35lbs, George “new book our soon” Jehn had 4 to 37lbs and Gary “Big Fish” Young had 4 to 38lbs. All retained their limit. Joe Pagillo limited to 30, Dan Bender and Ivan Grvic each had 32lbers. Scott Goldman had his limit as well but he landed a Behemoth at 40lbs . Jimmy “Keepon Reeling” Thieling from Deer Park had his largest ever at 41.3lbs and that Behemoth took 2nd Place. Scott…
