Night Striped Bass Jig & Eel Combo
Capt Ant reports a tale of two tides for the 6p trip and the Midnight Madness trip. One being fair and the other, well let’s just say painful.
On the 6p we had wind against Ebb tide and the Starship felt like it was drifting in mud. We had plenty of marks but I’m thinking the slower speed prevented a feeding frenzy that was the night before. Even the blues weren’t as abundant. We only managed a couple of keepers, a Moo Cow by James Esposito of Shoreham at 30lbs and an 18lber by Martin Wellen Dowd from NYC for 2nd.

Full Day Fluke and Sea Bass
Captain Carl reports a tough day today on the full day boat. We started off catching a lot of sea bassbut not much fluke. So we hunted around, but didn’t find anything good to work on, so it ended up a slow day.
Montauk Local Porgies and Sea Bass
Captain Dave reports a better day of fishing today than it has been the last few days. We hit more spots and there were plenty of fish. We had a steady pick all day. We also had 4 nice keeper fluke on the boat. Today’s first place pool winner was Ely Letada of Fairlawn, NJ with a 3lb porgy and in second place was Kevin Meigar of Brentwood with a 5lb fluke.
