Thurs July 2

Full Day Fluke
Captain Stephen Francis reports a fine day on the full day fluke boat today. It started off a little slow, but after we made a move we found some nice fluke to work on. We picked away all day and ended up just 3 away from our boat limit! Low hook on the boat had 3, but everyone else had 4 or 5 keepers. Saul Gonzalez of Freeport, NY had his limit of fluke and won the pool with a 6.10lb fluke. We also had some pretty giant scup in the mix as well as plenty of jumbo sea bass (all released unharmed). We are sailing everyday except for Sunday’s and we have a strict passenger limit of 20 people, so make sure to reserve a spot!

Montauk Jumbo Porgies
Captain Dave reports a very good day of fishing aboard the Viking Starship. We had a mixed bag of 1 keeper striper, some fluke and all really nice sized fish. Today’s pool winner was James Hom of Manhattan with a 3.5lb porgy.

Half Day AM
Captain Joey D reports a good morning aboard the Viking Star. We had a nice mix of some fluke, porgies and sea bass which were all released unharmed. It is showing good signs of fishing turning on full force for the summer season. Today’s pool winner was Gregg Popkin of East Hampton with a 5.5lb fluke.
