Full Day Fluke and Sea Bass
Captain Stephen Francis reports awesome full day trip today aboard the Viking Stariper! The sea bass bite was great first thing in the morning! As the day went on, the fluke bite was a little slow, but the ones we had were all jumbos! Then for the afternoon we moved to a different area for the change of tide and found ourselves with some non stop fluke action! We put a bunch of keepers on the boat! All in all it was a great trip and everyone left with a full cooler. Today’s first place pool winner was Carlos Santiago of Seldan with a 7.1lb fluke and in second place we had Tayfun Yazici of Brooklyn with a 3.8lb sea bass.

Half Day Fluke PM
Captain Joey D reports another great afternoon! We had lots of action and a good amount of keeper fluke on the boat. Freddy “Motor” Shea had a jumbo this afternoon weighing in a 8lbs! Todays first place pool winner was 5 year old Brody Pleasents of Dix Hills with a JUMBO 7.2lb fluke.

1/2 Day – AM
Captain Joey D reports a good time this morning with a lot of action. There were a nice bunch of sea bass caught. The keeper ratio was very good. The pool winner was 16 year old, Sean Amato from Stoneybrook, NY with a 5lb fluke. Freddy “Motor” Shea landed a 7lb fluke.

Night Bass
Captain Carl reports another slower night on the bass boat. Once the sun went down, it looked like it was gonna be a great night, with one drift catching 3 slobs, the next with 5 Giant Moo Cows, and the next with 1 big one, but then it fell apart…. The rest of the night we caught 1 here and 1 there, but that was it. Dennis Davis from Puerto Rico took first place with a 39lb 11oz Moo Cow Linesider and Hun Chung from NYC took second with a beauty 39lb 8oz striped bass.
