Block Island Behemoth Night Striped Bass
Captain Carl reports a solid night on the Viking Starship. Block Island Behemoth lived up to the hype again, as we had all quality bass onboard. It started off slow, but as the tide picked up, so did the fishing and we were just a few shy of a boat limit. Chris Luke from Southampton took the pool with a 47lb 5oz behemoth! George Jehn also had a nice 44lb 1oz Moo Cow and we had quite a few other over 35lbs.

Half Day AM
Captain Stephen D reports a good morning aboard the Viking Star. There was no tide at the beginning of the trip, but after about an hour the tide started and the fish started biting. There was a nice catch of fluke, porgies and sea bass. Freddy “Motor” Shea had a 7.5 pounder. Peter Wong from Plainview, NY and Troy Scott from Oceanside, NY tied the pool with 5lb fluke.

Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass
Captain Dave repots excellent porgy fishing today with nice size fish! There was also a mix of fluke, blues and small striped bass caught on board today. We really had to work Sea Bass fishing  today and had an okay day but were on the smaller side. The pool winner was Derrick Buchanan from T-Neck, NJ with a 3 1/4 lb Porgy. The second place pool winner was Thaddeus Hall from Valley Stream, NY with a 4 1/4 lb Sea bass.

Full day Jumbo Fluke and Sea Bass
Captain Carl reports an excellent day aboard the Viking Stariper Full Day Fisherman’s Special! Again we had loads of SUPER JUMBO Sea Bass, and many quality Fluke to fill everyones coolers! Another slammer day! The pool winner was Isiah Slaughter from Brooklyn, NY with a 7.8 lb Fluke. The second place pool winner was Edward Hommonds from Peekskill, NY with a 4.2 lb Sea Bass.

Half Day PM
Captain Stephen Francis reports a tough afternoon of fishing. There was no tide and swells making it hard conditions to fish. It was a slow afternoon but we managed a decent catch despite the relentless conditions. Pool Winner to follow.
