1/2 Day Fluke PM
Captain Joe reports an excellent afternoon of fishing on the Viking Star. We had some nice sea bass and porgies in the mix as well as some really nice sized fluke. Looks like a new batch of fish is moving in! Today’s pool winner was Thomas Tana of Commack NY with a nice 6.2lb fluke. Full report to follow.

1/2 Day Fluke AM
Captain Joe reports great fishing this morning. Fluking was very good and there were also some jumbo porgies and seabass in the mix. The first place pool winner was Jenny Klug from Leesburg, VA with a 5.5lb fluke. The second place pool winner was Katie McAulely from Huntington, NY with a 4.5lb fluke.

Captain Dave reports okay fishing today. There were a lot of smaller fish mixed in today. We also had a bunch of fluke and 1 striped bass. With the strange moon tide the fishing was a bit off. First Place pool winner was Ifa Gordon from Bronx with a 3lb porgy. The second place pool winner was Harold Bussey from Brooklyn with a 5lb bluefish.

Eco & Scenic Lighthouse Tour
Captain Sarah reports a beautiful ride on the water today during the eco tour. We hauled our traps and were able to collect some hermit and spider crabs. We caught some interesting things in the dredge, we even caught some squid eggs! We had a scenic ride past the lighthouse and a cool ride in on a hot day!

Montauk LongRange LTD Passenger Behemoth Night Striped Bass
Capt Carl reports EPIC striped bass fishing aboard the Viking Starship tonight! We had a sold out crowd and our anglers enjoyed a full boat limit of mighty moo cow Bass! Most fish were in the 25-35 lb class with a few smaller and a few bigger! Chris Luke from Southampton, NY took the pool again with a 43.9 lb Behemoth Striped Bass, and we didn’t catch the name of the second place winner but the fish was 39.8 lbs.
