Night Striped Bass
Capt Carl reports another very slow night of bass fishing. There are some fish around but they are only eating during the day and are off the night feed. Not even the full moon turned them on. We did catch 1 big 35 lb bass, but that was it. We are concluding our 2016 Night Bass season and Capt Carl is pleased to say that 2016 was one of the most consistent and productive years we have seen in many many years on our 6 hour and 7 hour trips. We will be fishing for cod, sea bass, porgies and blackfish for the remainder of this year and we look forward to seeing everyone again!

Half Day Mixed Bag PM
Capt Sarah reports another great trip this afternoon with great weather on the Viking Stariper. Rods were bent all around the boat as huge porgies and sea bass came over the rails. We also caught a few huge bluefish. The first place pool winner was Thomas John Graziano from Somers, NY with a 3.6 lb sea bass. The second place winner was Katherine Quinn from Mastic Beach, NY with a 3 lb sea bass.

Block Island Jumbo Porgies
Capt Dave reports that fishing was okay with the full moon tide raging. We had mixed sized fish with some jumbos. The first place pool winner was Jason “Thor” Feldman from Freeport, NY with a 4.8 lb jumbo porgy. The edible pool winner was 10 year old Philip “Henrik” Cindric from Oceanside, NY with a 9.8 lb black fish. * Sea Bass will reopen on Saturday October 22nd!!

Half Day Mixed Bag AM
Captain Sarah reports an awesome morning of fishing today on the half day trip. The sea bass were hungry and we loaded up on some large ones. We also saw a few blues and porgy. All customers left with bags of fish. Today’s pool winner was Santo Fiordimalua of Ardsley with a nice 5.2lb sea bass.
