Block Island Cod and Sea Bass – Fivestar
Capt Steven Sr reports that we began our day right where we left yesterday and unfortunately the dogs moved in over night.  We worked around the dogfish and put together a decent catch of cod and sea bass.  On the last drop of the day over 30 keepers came over the rail.  Despite the dogfish, loads of jumbo sea bass and a great pick of cod were caught; that kept us cutting for over an hour at the dock.

Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies and Knothead Sea Bass
Capt Dave reports a very good day of fishing on the Viking Starship.  There was an abundance of fish of all sizes caught.  Limits of sea bass filled coolers with fish averaging 3-5lbs and close to 30 keeper cod.  Today’s pool winner was Yu of Brooklyn, NY with a 3.2lb porgy.  Though not a pool winner, Marrvos from the galley caught a 17lb cod fish today.

Block Island Cod and Sea Bass – Limited Passenger
Capt Stephen Denaro reports a great day on the Viking Star.  All the jumbo sea bass you could want were caught with lots of porgies in the mix.  The cod bite was excellent with close to 45 keepers taken today.  The pool winner for cod fish was Oscar Cortoz of Westbury, NY with a 13.4lb cod and the sea bass pool winner was Taoso Sopilidis of Astoria, NY with a 5.5lb sea bass.
