Block Island Cod and Sea Bass – Viking Fivestar
COD COD COD!!!
Capt Steven Jr reports Slammer Cod fishing today at Block!! From first to last drop we had quality sized cod everywhere we went! By the end of the day we had around 100 cod giving most guys their limit or close to it of cod and their limit of nice sea bass!! Great to see the quality fish are showing up in numbers and we are looking forward to the winter season! We are adding a Block Island Cod/Sea Bass trip on the schedule for this up coming Monday! So don’t hesitate! Now’s the time! Get on a trip before it’s too late!! Here’s a couple of pictures from today. We will post more when we can!

Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass
Capt Dave reports another good day of mixed bag fishing. Porgy fishing was okay, they were mixed sized with some nice ones thrown in. There were much nicer sea bass today in the 4 to 5 lb range and were on the cod again today. All in all a nice day out there! The first place pool winner was Ifa Gordon from the Bronx with a 3 1/2 lb porgy.

Block Island Cod/Sea Bass – Limited
Capt Stephen D reports a Great day! We had a bumpy ride out, but as soon as we started fishing the rain stopped and the seas laid right down. We started the day off drifting to cover some ground and had some very productive drifts with some yielding up to 10 cod and plenty of XXXL Sea Bass. As the fishing slowed down at our first spot we went inot some deeper water and continued to drift with some drifts producing more cod than others, but there were plenty of sea bass everywhere we went. All in all a great day with a solid 65 cod on the boat and coolers filled with sea bass.
1st Place – Cod – Jimmy Lin from Flushing, NY with a 16.7 lber.
1st Place – Sea Bass – Andrew Rosenblatt from Center Reach, NY with a 6.1 lber.
