Montauk Spring Jumbo Porgies
Captain Dave reports excellent porgy fishing today aboard the Viking Star. We tried a different spot and  had a great bite first thing this morning that lasted a few hours. Then we looked around a bit and the bite came on again and lasted until we left. We had lots of double headers and saw more big fish! All nice sized porgies today. We also had some blues in the mix. Today’s first place pool winner was Joe Polanco of Brooklyn with a nice big 3.5lb porgy and in second place was Ernest Luna of Queens with an 8lb bluefish.
